Jose A. Rodriguez-Serrano | BBVA Data & Analytics
Jose A. Rodriguez-Serrano currently leads one of the Data Science programs at the BBVA AI Factory. He has been with BBVA since 2015. Formerly, he was the manager of the Machine Learning for Services group at Xerox Research. He holds a PhD in Computer Vision from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. He has published articles in AI conferences and journals (NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, TPAMI, IJCV), has submitted 25 patents and applications, and has helped deploying machine learning systems into real applications. He is passionate about the impact of machine learning in industry, and in how to best organize data science teams.

Interpretability refers to the ability of machine learning systems to yield information about how the reached a specific decision. This talk will discuss the concept of interpretability,
and discuss best practices in the context of industrial applications, and debate some potential myths and misconceptions usually associated with interpretability.
