HUMAN-ROBOT PHYSICAL INTERACTION
Human-Robot Physical Interaction: The recent Findings and their Utilities for preventing age-related cognitive decline, improving the quality of child care, and advancing quality of mental disorder services.
In this talk, I will share some of the latest progress that our team has achieved in examining the utility of embodied agents in such broad application areas as elderly cognitive training, child care, and the intimate interaction for stress relief. I will finish my talk by highlighting some of our future research directions to further advance the quality of interactive physical HRI in these applications.

My research focuses on computational modeling of the neurophysiological signals for developing intelligent and interactive elderly care systems and companion robots. I completed my Ph.D. on multi-robot coordination and decision-making at Simon Fraser University in 2012 and was a subtheme lead at National University of Singapore where I developed algorithms to enable robots construct internal knowledge of their workspace.
