The 24-25of October 2018 was held in Barcelona the 4th edition of Big DataCongress, the leading congress on Big Data in Catalonia and organized by Big Data CoE Barcelona.
The conference, was for the fourth consecutive year, the meeting point for professionals, suppliers and companies that are developing or are carrying out projects in the field of Big Data & Data Analytics, extracting data value. It will be, again, a place to explain what is being done in Barcelona, Catalonia and what is being done in the world in the area of Big Data.
The conference combines experiences from the center and from their collaborators, with presentations of national and international experts.

During this day speakers presented success stories from companies that have defined a Big Data strategy and have implemented a data culture across the organization, and discussed the steps to follow and to take into account when developing a Big Data project (from conceptualization to deployment).
This second day of technological content, there were sessions oriented to review use cases in data analytics, latest products and the state of the art in Big Data. We discussed what are the key steps to obtain the full analytical potential in the business, taking into account its coexistence with existing legacy systems.
